Boothbay Harbor, Maine
Two inns on the ridge, the harbor below.
Greenleaf Inn and Admiral's Quarters sit two doors from each other on Commercial Street, on the ridge at the head of the peninsula above Boothbay Harbor. Eighteen rooms between them, every one with a king or queen bed and its own bath, most with the water in view.

The harbor
Why this side of the water
Commercial Street climbs the ridge at the head of the peninsula. From the inns the harbor spreads out below; the wharves, the whale-watch boats and dinner are a walk down the hill, and it is quiet enough at night to hear the moorings.
July and August are the busiest weeks; June and September are the ones the regulars book. Windjammer Days are in late June, the Fall Foliage Festival in October, and Gardens Aglow at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens lights up November and December.
